KRS Backwaters

Last year we went to beautiful back waters of Krishna Raja Sagar (A Dam Built some hundred years ago, by then Maharaja of Mysore). Most of the people go the Brundavan Gardens (really beautiful) which is built on the plains of the downstream of the Dam. Many Indian and Foreign films have been shot here. Recently I saw Tarzan in India Smile to my astonishment Tarzan jumps into this reservoir from a straight flight from Africa!!! Smile.

Well that was pretext, but the we decided to cross over to the northern bank of river Cauvery (or Kaveri) and proceed further. It looked like a good tar road leading into the heart of Hale Mysuru (Old Mysore) region. So, I peddled my i10 deeper. After some 3 – 4 Kms, there is a small village where we took a sharp left which lead us over a small dirt track to the place where there was a Temple (Now sunken under water). Just besides the sunken Temple there is a new temple coming up which is architecturally, dimensionally same as the sunken one. This place was being built but the tourists  have started coming to this place. Check the photos below and find out about the place by yourselves.
The below snaps are from my Old Kodak Z700 4MP Camera.
